From the 60wp to the 80wp, PV Logic Flexi is well suited for use where a super robust, low profile and lightweight panel is needed, or the substrate to which the panel will be fixed has a slight curve. Ideal for marine buoys, boat decks, camper vans etc.

The Flexi offers the following advantages:

Self-healing top surface
The ETFE top layer gives the PV Logic Flexi extra resilience in really tough conditions. ETFE has a memory effect or self-healing capacity in the event the panel comes into contact with branches etc, thus ensuring any slight abrasions are ‘healed’ within a few hours. The Flexi range can even be walked on with soft deck shoes! During production the ETFE is dimpled to further protect the panel and provide an anti-slip surface, particularly useful if the panel is fitted to a boat deck.

Completely waterproof
Each panel is assembled to ensure complete encapsulation. This ensures the 6 layer heavy duty laminate protects the solar cell circuit from extreme conditions. The junction box is also injected with special silicon, guaranteeing no water ingress.

Cells protected from hot spots.
Where used on a camper van or boat, partial shading of a solar panel is typical. In these circumstances, heat build-up and damaging hot spots can occur leading to a significantly reduced life cycle of the panel. The larger 60w and 80w PV Logic Flexi panels have up to two shading diodes housed within the fully waterproof junction box to prevent this occurrence.

Superior design
There are no square edges on a PV Logic Flexi! Rounded panel corners and a unique curved junction box provide superior adhesion, no snag lamination and no sharp edges. The junction box is mechanically fixed in addition to being bonded to the panel. Strain relief is provided for the fitted 4m UV stabilised PV cable ensuring it cannot be accidentally pulled from the junction box.

Easy fix
The Flexi range can be bonded to flat or slight curved surfaces (3cm curve per metre) such as painted aluminium, metal, GRP and fibreglass using Simson ISR 70-03. The aluminium layer is also pre-drilled with 4.5mm holes should the panel need to be mechanically fixed as well as or instead of bonding.

Warranty
The Flexi range is setting new standards with a 5 year product and a 20 year performance warranty. Cell performance warranty states that at 20 years the cell output will be no less than 80% of new performance values – i.e the cell degradation rate will be no greater than 20% in 20 years

Solar Panels using Wattstunde's advanced monocrystalline solar cells are the most efficient on today's market. As a result, Wattstunde monocrystalline solar panels are the PV panel of choice in mainland Europe for caravans, motorhomes and many marine and remote power uses.

Due to the ultra-high efficiency of Wattstunde solar cells (21.5%), wattstunde's monocrystalline solar panels are 30-50% smaller than cheaper models and are far less affected by changes in ambient temperature and sunlight intensity. Wattstunde solar cells are uniquely connected together at the back; not the front in the same way as standard solar panels. Not only does this increase the visible surface area of the solar cells, it also makes the front more aesthetically pleasing (no silver wires). In addition, a unique backing material reflects unused light back into the solar cell, increasing energy production even further.

Wattstunde have recently been made aware of a few companies offering cheap 'copycat' imports from Asia which claim to be the same products as wattstunde; their ultra-high efficiency panels are available exclusively from Wattstunde. This is a constant problem for manufacturers and our advice is to check the efficiency rating of the panel; if it is less than 21.5%, then it's not using genuine high-power solar cells.

The SunMover® revolutionises mobile solar technology. A specifically designed 75 Wp solar module, mounted onto a compact motorised pan-and-tilt unit, is combined with GPS control for maximum energy yield.

The BM-1 is designed to monitor performance of 12 volt lead acid battery systems with capacities of up to 600 Amp hours. It is supplied complete with a precision 100 AMP shunt. Victron BMV-700 is a high precision battery monitor. The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate ampere-hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. Ampere-hours consumed are calculated by integrating the current flowing in or out of the battery.

Battery ‘fuel gauge’, time-to-go indicator, and much more

The remaining battery capacity depends on the ampere-hours consumed, discharge current, temperature and the age of the battery. Complex software algorithms are needed to take all these variables into account. Next to the basic display options, such as voltage, current and ampere-hours consumed, the BMV-700 series also displays state of charge, time to go, and power consumption in Watts.
